Conversation yesterday in the car taking Eden to swimming lessons
Mom: "Are you excited for swimming lessons?"
Eden: "yeah"
Mom: "Remember to say yes ma'am when your teacher asks you to do something."
Eden: "No mom, she's a girl. I will say yes girl."

So funny. It makes me feel a bit old though, since people have no problem calling me ma'am. Sarah and Abby have no trace of southern manners left. The Turner Center - ahh the good life.
remember when mom wanted us to say, yes ma'am, no ma'am to her? and we just laughed. We were rude kids. We thought that sounded so funny when becca would say that to mom.
Unfortunately, if you ever leave Miss. they will think she is being a smart alek. Although, many of our upper grade teachers are teaching their students to say Thank you mam. It is refreshing to hear it! Keep it up.
True southern! We also like how they call adults by "Miss" and their first name... Miss Jenny! That's so cute that Eden thought you were telling her to say yes man!
haha! what a cutie!
That is too funny! I'll have to follow her example and say, yes girl from now on!
kids are great for a good laugh
