LOVE you so much!

Before going to bed we always talk about you. We laugh and marvel at the thousands of cute things you do. We usually speak of regret: loosing our temper, not paying enough attention, forgetting to brush your teeth or read you more books. We always sneak in your room (making sure you actually are sleeping in your beds) and pull the covers over your precious bodies. Your bodies that will grow so fast. So fast we are afraid we will forget these times. Forget the way you sing in the car, forget how you love to throw rocks, forget your tiny fingers wrapped around our necks when we wrestle, forget the giggles, forget our little conversations. This is why we blog...so we won't forget.

Love, Mommy & Daddy

Thanksgiving

The crew. It was truly a feast. You should have seen Kristin's foot tall apple pie and Katie's fluffy mashed potatoes.
We could talk about the turkey forever. Turkey Man did not disappoint. It was delicious.
I am thankful for Ranch Dressing, because of you my kids LOVE veggies. They ate the whole tray.
That evening we had a blast at the Telford's. Kendee (their 12 year old) watched the kids while the GIRLS demolished the BOYS in a game of taboo. It was so great.

One more thing.
Why I LOVE black friday:
1. I don't have to shower and get ready to go shopping (it's the one time of year you can actually go to the mall in your PJ's and everyone understands).
2. It kicks off the Christmas season, you can feel it in the air.
3. I can get in 4 hours of shopping before my kids wake up.

Merry Christmas everyone!

While I'm already posting...

I'll tell you what David said yesterday.

Paul was teasing Eden and somehow Eden ended up crying (she's very dramatic).

David looked at Paul, pointed his finger and in a mean voice said : "CORNER".

Also, this is what Eden wants for Christmas: "Barbie Christmas movie, balloons, candy & a birthday cake."

Dangerous Territory

I just wanted to say that I have entered the DANGER ZONE! I couldn't think of anything I wanted for Christmas...so I started looking and looking and looking. Now my list is a page long and $1,000's of dollars. I can't decide which one I really want because I NEED them all!

Help!

Santa hasn't inherited a million has he?

Now when I open a watch, I will still be thinking about the green antique dresser for $500 I saw at the mustard seed. Sigh. (actually I really do want a watch)

By the way, I'm so excited for Black Friday. Yes, I will wait in line for two hours just to get $1.50 white bath towels and $4 Dora pj's for Eden.

P.S. Paul, if you're reading this please don't get that green dresser (if you know Paul, you know he is very generous...especially with me. In our three years of marriage he has had to change a lot... poor guy. I have to be very careful for what I ask for...because he'll get it all).

Love him.

7 Random Facts

1. I lay in bed deciding what to wear (this really never works because once you open your closet you have to start all over again).
2.
I don't like to be friendly when I shop. My mind is calculating prices, sorting items in my closet, colors, other stores that I could get a better deal at, sizes, styles, budget...see, I am way too involved to worry about others around me.
3.
I am indecisive.
4. Paul and I have the argument/discussion "do we have anything in common?" at least twice a month.
5.
I am not sentimental (trying to be...slowly getting there).
6.
My chest totally shrunk after nursing David...miracle.
7.
I am obsessed with desserts. I rate the restaurant on their dessert menu (except Boure's because they have heavenly sweet potatoes fries that are the perfect combination of sweet & salty). In fact, this is what I'm most excited about on Thanksgiving see HERE
Thanks Mandy; and yes I do read your blog.

Rainy Day

Today's events:
Made a big mess with toys and loved every minute.

Laundry
(why do we have so many clothes? ...people in Africa would be ashamed)

Made mint oreo truffles for visting teachers & day care ladies at the gym.
(I am telling you...this gym is the best thing. Two hours of child care. The other day Eden was put in time out; now we are brown nosing.)

Other things not pictures:

*talked to my sister on the phone (so glad she's back in town so we can have our daily chats)

* went to Wal-Mart and got our turkey! yippy. (Mr. Paul is going to brine it this year)

* cleaned pee off the carpet...ugh.

Going Private

No scary story, no big reason...just because (Actually Paul has been asking me for months now. He is always complaining I never listen to him...I don't want him to be right:))

Although I do appreciate the unprotected data base of the internet. Yesterday I learned that I have a criminal record. You will NEVER guess for what? Give up? I actually have two offenses:

1. "Dog at large"
2. "Failure to license a dog".
(in Provo)

I have never owned a dog? ???? Considering I run for my life when I see a dog not on a lease (ask Marianne who I left to fend for herself...or Bradley when I dropped him and ran in the house...fear does terrible things to me).

Sherlock Cyndi is on it. Mystery to be solved...

Season Premiere NOVEMBER 30th! (that's how long you have to enjoy our goodness before we close our doors to the invited guests only)

Please leave a comment or email me.

Boo-hoo Thanksgiving

Does anyone else just want THANKSGIVING over so we can actually move onto Christmas?

I'll explain. Today while at the dollar store getting some kid spoons (half the price of Wal-mart), I couldn't find ANY Thanksgiving items. I was looking for turkey stickers, brown foam, etc. Finally I stumbled across a crummy shelf with scraps of orange and yellow napkins. Am I really too late? Have people already got all their paper products for the feast in two weeks? You think they could at least move over a few ceramic Santas and make room for Turkey day.
Oh well, I do enjoy the Christmas music in the stores.

I am still dreaming of eating this $89.95 cake for Halloween...or Thanksgiving...pumpkins work.

Wait...there's a Christmas one. I'm still ok.

Long sleeves

All my ideas come from other people's ideas. This one is my new favorite.

I can always find short sleeve shirts on clearance. Eden has about 6 shirts that I got for $1. What do I do with these shirts now that it's winter? Add a sock sleeve...tada! ( I actually sewed the sock on the shirt with my machine)

Feel free to add some patch work on any stains (you thought I was being creative...tricked you).

Tutorial idea HERE.

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.

4 good things about this video

1. David offers to help Eden up.
2. You can see the new paint color in our room.
3. Shows two examples: carefree & cautious
4. You won't judge me when you see how easily the clothes come off. I have decided that they aren't truly happy unless their naked....sigh

Kickin & Screamin

After flooding the kitchen twice, peeing on the floor, shoving a mascara tube in your ear and breaking my candle while playing "happy birthday". I banished you to the outside with ants and worms.

The first half hour you cried and screamed.

I had no sympathy.

Then you moved on and played for 2 hours while I finished painting my bedroom.

We are all much better now.

P.S. I do acknowledge the political outcome this week. I read every article I can about Prop 8. I am relieved the polls are closed and calculated. I phase in and out of politics. I get consumed, concerned, anxious and then realize this does no good...so I stop following. I am proud Prop 8 passed. This was a HUGE victory, I want to kiss all you California people. More than ever, I see the need to discern between right and wrong. I am appalled at the bias of the media and how a wrong choice is made to look noble. Satan is stirring the pot. True and correct principles are seen to be complicated and confusing. How sad. I am thankful for a prophet. I am thankful for the spirit which will testify of the truth. God bless America.

Thankful paper

You guys are all so nice. Yeah, great idea...NOT. The chain has already been ripped off the wall, so I'm going with a "thankful paper" taped on the back of the door. Let's see how long that stays up.

Thankful chain

While laying in bed Paul asked, "Do you think David & Eden will be best friends?". Right now they are forced to be, they share the same room and do all the same things. What happens when they get older and have different friends? Different lives? Lately my mind has been consumed with the thought of having a close family. I , as all of you, have worried and wondered how I can protect my family. In a moment of pondering I came up with one simply way: TRADITIONS.

Having fun & meaningful activities that my children can build memories that lay a foundation of stability. Of course the most important traditions we have are the daily rituals of prayer, scripture study, meal times & FHE.

This Thanksgiving I have decided to start a Thankful chain. Each day we write down what we are thankful for. In primary we talked about how being thankful is a commandment D&C 59:7.

A holiday decor with personal words of gratitude. What are your Thanksgiving traditions? In light of this idea, here are a few thank yous.

Thank you for the BEAUTIFUL weather we are having...the kids are really enjoying it (as you can tell).
Thank you for NOT making me stop and eat here.
Thank you Jalayne for the yummy red velvet cupcakes.
Thank you for little potties (or bushes), anything that will prevent a diaper change.
Thank you Blaus for the yummy dinner at Corky's BBQ. We porked down all the pork!
